About the JoM
The JoM is New Zealand's first Jewish museum, and the first online Jewish museum in the world. The New Zealand based Jewish Online Museum is governed by the Jewish Online Museum Trust and is a charitable, not-for-profit organisation. The JoM has been designed and built by leading New Zealand designers and web architects, Threaded, Lushai, and Reactive, to be an engaging and educational resource for a wide range of visitors, and to act primarily as a repository and accessible resource for the Jewish community in New Zealand.
To learn more about the work, people and policies of the museum use the menu at the left hand column adjacent to this page to guide your search. To learn more about how and why the Jewish Online Museum was initiated, go to the JoM window and logo at the top right of the screen, to the Welcome to JoM section of introductions to the five sections of the museum - history, lives, arts, faith and holocaust - and watch the Behind the Scenes at JoM introductory video.
